Fourroux Prosthetics Educational Seminars

5Star "The course was very interactive, not your typical seminar where you just sit and listen to the speaker.  They even had amputees share their experiences on how to deal with loss of limb."  Amelette Bolton - Director of Rehab, Life Care Center of Hickory Woods

5Star "I was impressed with the clarity of the presentation and the passion displayed by the presenters.  The demonstration of the use of current technologies to speed the process of prosthetic fabricaton was impressive.  The presenters emphasized the ability to have a pain-free gait in a well-fitting prosthetic, which will help the therapists identify these problems with their patients and keep their progress moving forward."  Aren Swogger - Phyiscal Therapist, Life Care Center of Hickory Woods

Fourroux recognizes that in order to have success outcomes for amputees, a TEAM approach to prosthetic care is necessary. This TEAM approach often includes the amputees Doctor, Nurse, Physical Therapist, Case Manager, the Prosthetist…and most importantly input from the amputee and their family.

For the TEAM to be successful, we at Fourroux Prosthetics work closely with these groups of healthcare professionals by providing Prosthetic Educational Seminars, in order to work more collaboratively when deciding an amputees prosthetic needs today.

These seminars are designed for healthcare professionals to discuss current prosthetic solutions for amputees, today and into the future, as amputees will need a lifetime of prosthetic care.

We discuss important topics, such as:

  • Correct prosthetics intervention
  • Traditional methods of prosthetic care vs. today’s advancements in prosthetics
  • The use of CAD/CAM technology and it’s benefits
  • Follow-up programs
  • Overall prosthetic care approaches for successful amputee outcomes
